This guy is going to show us how we can take a scan imaging converted into a text file by using free software at www.ocrtools.com. He is showing and telling us some simple steps first to download the document then to convert the scan image. He was saying that after installing the document, we should see a shortcut OCRTOOLS on our desktop. Therefore, we should scan the document in paint and then save it as a TIF file on the desktop. Once we have it, we can scan the image that we want to convert by doing some simple steps.
Videocast is more effective than a podcast because in videocast we are not just hearing what someone says, we are also watching what someone shows us. For instance, in this videocast, we could clearly see how this guy scanned and converted images because he didn’t just tell us what he did, but he also showed us.
I think videocast is an effective way and it is a kind of stimulation to learn new skills. As I mentioned before, watching videos to learn things is more interesting than listening and reading because when we watch a videocast, it is like someone comes and do things practically in front of us. I can say it is a fun way to learn new skills and it is much easier.
